Inspired by machinima, Rosa Zangenberg’s Last Exception (2025) uses The Sims 4 to give voice to Sims as they confront the constraints of their world and their threatened autonomy, reflecting Zangenberg’s idea that glitches and modding serve as acts of resistance against the game’s monopolistic model.
