Acoustic Mirror_Moss is an art project that grows moss under controlled conditions. Daily registration through pictures, sound recordings, temperature and humidity sensors allow to map the slow growth of moss. The goal is to use the stored data to create computer generated images that will be projected on the moss. The sound recordings of the plant will affect the listed images by shape, color and movement. In this way, the moss is an “acoustic mirror” that reflects and absorbs both light and sound.
This project was developed during a residency as part of a Summer Sessions residency at V2_.
