Revolver Gallery was established in 2008 in the heart of the historically wounded district of Miraflores, Lima-Peru. Since its inception, Revolver has set clear targets in its mission as a private platform for the exhibition, promotion, and management of contemporary artists -a young generation with a common and conscious background-: To re-direct from the trajectory of the local scene -with more than a decade of sustained development, peaking at the turn of the century- and to aim towards the exchange and connection with the international, reinforcing the idea that it is the active trade of discourses that will articulate further development independent from the gallery's spatial physicality.
Revolver is committed to support the individuality of its artists and enhance their experimentation through any media and genre; likewise, maintains a self managed program of international residencies inviting selected emerging artists from abroad to produce an exhibit in the gallery, hence, re-directing the international in for the local.
Focused on its role as the catalyzing nexus between artists, critics, museum directors, curators, and collectors, Revolver reaffirms that the sum of these -resulting in intelligent art collection- will be trigger for the development of a wide range scenario.
Relocated in 2012 into a much larger space and only meters apart from its former HQs, Revolver has projected itself rapidly into some of the most important art fairs worldwide.
